Tara writes and directs comedy as well as collaborating with companies and artists to create unique theatrical experiences in theatres, museums, schools and alternative theatre settings. She has worked with Fringe darlings Awkward Prods, brilliant dancer and improviser Sam Burkett and various character comedians on their shows. If you want a dramaturg or outside eye for your stand up or a solid director for your sketch or comedy show you’d be in very safe hands with Tara. She teaches comedy and physical comedy at Central School of Speech and Drama, Rose Bruford and Mountview and has supported actors to find their funny and go on to careers as comedy.She absolutely loves digging in to the dramaturgy of a show and creating solid structures for performers to fly from.

Tara directed the puppetry on this ridiculous, hilarious, irreverent and brilliantly bonkers show. Which in essence meant working with Camilla Parker Bowls as satanic rag doll and Prince Charles (sorry, King Charles) as a cardboard cut out… it was as fun to work on as the show is to watch. The show has become a cult classic, its Edinburgh 2023 run sold out as it amassed a hello of a lot of 5 star reviews.
